Adecoagro S.A. is a Luxembourg-based agricultural and agro-industrial company listed on the NYSE under the ticker AGRO. Its common stock represents equity in a business with operations in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Uruguay. The company organizes its activities into two segments: Farming; and Sugar, Ethanol, and Energy.

Adecoagro produces a broad range of crops and agricultural commodities, including soybeans, corn, wheat, peanuts, sunflower, and cotton. It also grows, processes, and markets rice; develops seeds; and produces dairy products such as milk, powdered milk, cheese, cream, and flavored milk. In addition, the company generates electricity from biogas, provides grain warehousing and related handling services, and cultivates sugarcane for sugar, ethanol, biomethane, and power generation. Its activities further include carbon credit sales and the transformation of underdeveloped farmland through land acquisitions, technology upgrades, and improved farming practices. Founded in 2002, the company became a subsidiary of Tether Investments, S.A. De C.V. as of May 1, 2025.
