The company operates through two segments: Infrastructure Solutions and Materials Solutions. Its Infrastructure Solutions segment includes asphalt plants, concrete batch plants, cold central plant recycle systems, soil remediation plants, liquid asphalt terminals, thermal fluid heaters, asphalt pavers, material transfer vehicles, milling machines, and related automation, permitting, and plant components. The Materials Solutions segment provides crushing, screening, washing, conveying, and material handling equipment, along with rock breaker systems and other products used in aggregate, recycling, mining, quarrying, and terminal applications. Astec serves customers that include asphalt and concrete producers, contractors, recycling operators, mine and quarry operators, utilities, government agencies, and other industrial users. Incorporated in 1972, the company is headquartered in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
