Canadian Natural Resources Ltd is an energy company listed on the NYSE as common stock under the symbol CNQ. The business is involved in crude oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids across Western Canada, the UK sector of the North Sea, and offshore Africa. Its activities include development, production, marketing, and sale of hydrocarbons, with output that includes light and medium crude, heavy oil grades, bitumen from thermal operations, and synthetic crude oil. The company also has midstream assets, including two crude oil pipeline systems and a 50% interest in an 84-megawatt cogeneration facility at Primrose. Incorporated in 1973 and headquartered in Calgary, Canada, it adopted its current name in December 1975 after previously operating as AEX Minerals Corporation.
