Commerce Bancshares, Inc. is a bank holding company for Commerce Bank and its NASDAQ-listed common stock trades under the ticker CBSH. The company provides a broad range of financial services to individuals and businesses in the United States through three operating segments: Retail Banking, Commercial, and Wealth. Its retail activities include consumer deposits, a variety of consumer and real estate loan products, retail branch banking, mortgage banking, consumer financing, and debit and credit card services. The commercial segment serves business and institutional clients with corporate lending, leasing, international banking, cash management, merchant services, securities safekeeping, and bond accounting. The wealth segment includes trust and estate planning, investment management, brokerage, and private banking services. Commerce Bancshares also offers specialty lending, insurance agency, securities brokerage, private equity investments, and online and mobile banking services. Founded in 1865 and headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, the company has a long-standing presence in U.S. banking.
