CSX Corporation is a common stock listing on NASDAQ for the U.S.-based rail transportation company CSX Corporation. Through its subsidiaries, the business provides freight rail services across the United States and Canada, with operations organized into rail and trucking segments. Its network supports the movement of intermodal containers and trailers, rail-to-truck transfers, bulk commodities, and a range of industrial and consumer freight, including chemicals, agricultural and food products, minerals, automotive goods, forest products, fertilizers, metals, coal, coke, and iron ore. CSX also provides intermodal drayage and related services through terminals and logistics connections. The company’s rail system covers roughly 20,000 route miles, serving population centers in 26 states east of the Mississippi River, Washington, D.C., and the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec. It was incorporated in 1978 and is headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida.
