Gilead has entered into collaboration, research, option, and license agreements with multiple biopharmaceutical and research partners, including Shenzhen Pregene Biopharma, Arcus Biosciences, Merck Sharp & Dohme, Janssen Sciences Ireland, Japan Tobacco, Everest Medicines, Merck & Co., Tentarix Biotherapeutics, Assembly Biosciences, Merus, Terray Therapeutics, and LEO Pharma. Incorporated in 1987, the company is headquartered in Foster City, California.
