Ingersoll Rand Inc. is a NYSE-listed industrial company focused on mission-critical technologies and services for air, fluid, clean energy, and medical applications. The company operates through two business segments: Industrial Technologies and Services, and Precision and Science Technologies. Its Industrial Technologies and Services segment includes equipment and services for air and gas compression and treatment, vacuum and blower systems, fluid transfer, loading systems, and power tools and lifting equipment, along with aftermarket parts, consumables, controls, and accessories. The Precision and Science Technologies segment develops pumps, gas boosters, hydrogen compression systems, automated liquid handling systems, odorant injection systems, and related components used in medical, laboratory, industrial, water and wastewater, chemical processing, clean energy, food and beverage, and agricultural applications. Ingersoll Rand sells through direct sales representatives and independent distributors. Founded in 1859 and headquartered in Davidson, North Carolina, the company was formerly known as Gardner Denver Holdings, Inc. before adopting its current name in March 2020.
