The Asset Servicing segment includes custody, fund administration, investment operations outsourcing, investment risk and analytical services, securities lending, foreign exchange, treasury management, brokerage, transition management, banking, and cash management, among other related services for institutional clients such as retirement funds, foundations, endowments, insurers, sovereign wealth funds, and fund managers. The Wealth Management segment offers trust, investment management, custody, philanthropic, financial consulting, estate and guardianship administration, family business consulting, family financial education, brokerage, and private and business banking services. Founded in 1889 and headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, Northern Trust also provides a range of asset management products and related risk management services across active and passive strategies and multiple asset classes.
