Precision Drilling Corporation is a Calgary, Canada-based energy services company founded in 1951 and listed on the NYSE under the ticker PDS. As a common equity security, the shares represent ownership in the company rather than a specialized fund or structured instrument. Precision Drilling provides onshore drilling services to exploration and production companies in the oil, natural gas, and geothermal sectors in the United States, Canada, and other international markets. Its operations are organized into Contract Drilling Services and Completion and Production Services. The contract drilling business includes well drilling, turnkey drilling contracts, oilfield supply procurement and distribution, and the manufacture, sale, and repair of drilling and service rig equipment. The company also provides automation and environmental solutions, as well as service rigs, rentals, camp and catering support, and well completion and workover services through its other segment.
