Through its subsidiaries, the company designs, manufactures, and sells firearms under the Ruger brand, with products that include single-shot, autoloading, bolt-action, and modern sporting rifles; rimfire and centerfire pistols; single-action and double-action revolvers; over-under shotguns; and related accessories and replacement parts. It also produces lever-action rifles under the Marlin name. In addition to firearms, the company operates a Castings segment that supplies steel investment castings and metal injection molding parts. Ruger sells its firearm products primarily through independent wholesale distributors to the commercial sporting market, while its casting products are sold directly or through manufacturers’ representatives. The company also exports firearms through selected distributors and directly to foreign customers, including law enforcement agencies and foreign governments.
