Celanese Corporation is a materials company focused on the production and sale of engineered polymers and acetyl chain products worldwide. Its operations are organized into two segments, Engineered Materials and Acetyl Chain. The company’s engineered materials portfolio includes products such as liquid crystal polymers, thermoplastic elastomers, polyoxymethylene, nylon and polypropylene compounds, and other specialty materials used across applications in automotive, construction, consumer electronics, medical, energy storage, and telecommunications. In its acetyl chain business, Celanese supplies acetic acid, acetic anhydride, vinyl acetate monomers, and related products used in adhesives, coatings, packaging, textiles, pharmaceuticals, and other industrial applications. Celanese markets its products under a broad range of brands and serves customers directly, through distributors, and via original equipment manufacturers and suppliers. Founded in 1912 and headquartered in Irving, Texas, the company is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol CE.
