Its business is organized into four segments: Wholesale, Retail, Global, and Global Markets. The Wholesale segment covers corporate lending, project and structured finance, trade-related services, advisory work, and leasing. The Retail segment serves individual customers with deposit products, investment trusts, securities, insurance, credit cards, loans, and trust services. The Global segment focuses on cross-border lending, deposits, trade finance, derivatives, underwriting, trading, and leasing. The Global Markets segment handles asset-liability management, portfolio management, foreign currency funding, and market activities. The group also provides system development, data processing, consulting, research, and asset management services.
