NIO Inc. is the issuer of the NIO Inc. Class A ADR listed on the NYSE. The company designs, develops, manufactures, and sells smart electric vehicles in China, Europe, and other international markets. Its product range includes five- and six-seat electric SUVs and smart electric sedans. Beyond vehicle sales, NIO provides a broad set of power and mobility-related services, including home charging, battery swapping, charging and destination chargers, mobile charging vans, access to public charger information through its Power Map application, and valet-style power services. The company also supports customers through repair, maintenance, inspection, delivery, registration assistance, insurance processing, remote diagnostics, warranty support, auto financing arrangements, and related after-sales services. In addition, NIO is involved in electric powertrain, battery pack, and component development, as well as digital services such as NIO Auto Mall and an online auction platform. Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Shanghai, China, the company was formerly known as NextEV Inc. before adopting the NIO Inc. name in 2017.
