Its brands include Westcott for scissors, rulers, sharpeners, paper trimmers, cutters, glue guns, and related craft items; Clauss for cutting tools; DMT for sharpening products; and First Aid Only, PhysiciansCare, Spill Magic, First Aid Central, Safety Made, Med-Nap, Pac-Kit, and My Medic for first aid, safety, and cleaning products. Acme United sells through independent representatives, wholesale and retail distribution channels, and its own websites. The company was founded in 1867, was formerly known as Acme Shear Company, and is based in Shelton, Connecticut.
