Through its subsidiaries, the company operates three business segments: Wholesale Sales & Ancillary Services, Direct-to-Consumer, and Secured Lending. Its wholesale activities include the sale of gold, silver, platinum, and palladium in multiple forms, along with related handling, storage, processing, packing, shipping, and custom coin services. The direct-to-consumer segment sells precious metals and numismatic products through various websites and other retail channels. The secured lending segment makes and acquires commercial loans collateralized by bullion, numismatic coins, and graded sports cards. Goldcom serves a broad customer base that includes financial institutions, dealers, manufacturers, sovereign mints, refiners, investors, collectors, and online retail customers across the U.S., Europe, Canada, Asia Pacific, Africa, Australia, and South America. The company was founded in 1965 and is headquartered in Costa Mesa, California.
