International Paper (IP)

International Paper Company is a Memphis, Tennessee-based materials company founded in 1898 and listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker IP. As a common equity security, its shares represent ownership in the issuer’s operating business rather than a fund or specialized instrument. The company develops and sells renewable fiber-based packaging products across North America, Latin America, Europe, and North Africa. Its operations are organized into two segments: Packaging Solutions North America and Packaging Solutions EMEA. International Paper supplies containerboard grades including linerboard, medium, whitetop, and saturating kraft, and it also converts containerboard into corrugated boxes, bulk bins, shipping containers, and specialty packaging. These products are used by customers in industries such as food and beverage, agriculture, industrial manufacturing, personal care, pharmaceuticals, and consumer goods.
