Packaging Corporation of America is a U.S. materials company focused on containerboard and uncoated freesheet paper. It operates through two segments: Packaging and Paper. The Packaging segment produces corrugated packaging, including shipping containers, retail display boxes, honeycomb protective packaging, and packaging used for food, beverages, and industrial goods. It also sells these products through a direct sales and marketing network. The Paper segment makes commodity and specialty papers, including office paper, printing and converting papers, and white papers, and markets them through its own sales organization. The company was founded in 1867 and is based in Lake Forest, Illinois.
