Exelixis, Inc. is a NASDAQ-listed biotechnology company focused on discovering, developing, and commercializing medicines for difficult-to-treat cancers. Its portfolio includes CABOMETYX tablets for advanced renal cell carcinoma after prior anti-angiogenic therapy and COMETRIQ capsules for progressive and metastatic medullary thyroid cancer. Both products are based on cabozantinib, a multi-kinase inhibitor. The company also markets COTELLIC, used in combination treatment for certain advanced melanoma cases, and MINNEBRO, an oral non-steroidal mineralocorticoid receptor blocker approved for hypertension in Japan. In development, Exelixis is advancing several oncology programs, including zanzalintinib, XL309, XB010, XB628, and XB371. The company works with a range of pharmaceutical and biotechnology partners through collaborations and license agreements. Founded in 1994 and headquartered in Alameda, California, it changed its name from Exelixis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in 2000.
