Aflac Incorporated is a New York Stock Exchange-listed common stock issue of a financial services company focused on supplemental health and life insurance. Through its subsidiaries, the company operates in two reporting segments: Aflac Japan and Aflac U.S. In Japan, it markets products such as cancer, medical, nursing care, whole life, and selected endowment and savings-style insurance offerings. In the United States, its product set includes accident, disability, cancer, critical illness, hospital indemnity, dental, vision, and life coverage. Aflac also provides related insurance and workplace benefit products, including hearing, final expense, pet, Medicare supplement, short-term disability, absence management, and cafeteria plans. The company distributes its products through a mix of agencies, banks, associates, agents, and brokers. Founded in 1955 and headquartered in Columbus, Georgia, Aflac serves individuals, families, and business owners.
