Black Hills Corporation is a U.S. utility company operating through its subsidiaries in the electric and natural gas sectors. Its Electric Utilities segment generates, transmits, and distributes electricity to customers in Colorado, Montana, South Dakota, and Wyoming, and includes ownership of generation assets, transmission and distribution lines, and related non-regulated power generation and mining assets. The Gas Utilities segment distributes natural gas across Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, and Wyoming and operates intrastate pipelines, storage sites, compression assets, and gathering lines. The company also provides certain non-regulated customer services, including appliance repair plans, utility infrastructure construction and maintenance, and home repair service plans. Black Hills Corporation was incorporated in 1941 and is headquartered in Rapid City, South Dakota.
