Federal Signal Corporation is a U.S.-based industrial company listed on the NYSE under the ticker FSS. As a common equity security, it represents ownership in a company that designs, manufactures, and supplies products and integrated solutions for municipal, governmental, industrial, and commercial customers in North America and internationally. The company operates through two segments: Environmental Solutions Group and Safety and Security Systems Group.

Its product range includes equipment for street cleaning, sewer maintenance, industrial vacuum loading, safe-digging, dump truck bodies, trailers, waterblasting, road marking, line removal, metal extraction support, and multi-purpose maintenance vehicles. Federal Signal also provides refuse and recycling collection vehicles, along with parts, repair, rentals, and training services. In addition, it supplies community alerting systems, emergency vehicle and first responder communications, public safety equipment, signaling devices, and public warning and alarm systems through a mix of direct and indirect sales channels. Founded in 1901, the company is based in Downers Grove, Illinois.
