Genprex Inc. is a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing gene therapy candidates for cancer and diabetes. In oncology, the company’s non-viral Oncoprex Delivery System is designed to deliver disease-fighting genes using lipid-based nanoparticles in a lipoplex formulation. Its lead candidate, Reqorsa Immunogene Therapy (quaratusugene ozeplasmid), is being studied in three clinical trials for non-small cell lung cancer and small cell lung cancer. The lung cancer programs have received Fast Track Designation from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and the small cell lung cancer program has also received Orphan Drug Designation. Genprex is also advancing a diabetes gene therapy platform that uses an AAV vector to deliver Pdx1 and MafA genes to the pancreas, with GPX-002 being evaluated for Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. The company has research collaborations with The University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center and ALK Positive Lung Cancer Study Collaboration. Genprex was incorporated in 2009 and is based in Austin, Texas.
