Marathon Petroleum Corporation is an integrated downstream energy company with common stock listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker MPC. Through its subsidiaries, the company operates in three segments: Refining & Marketing, Midstream, and Renewable Diesel. Its refining network processes crude oil and other feedstocks at facilities in the Gulf Coast, Mid-Continent, and West Coast regions of the United States, while its marketing and distribution activities support sales to wholesale customers, independent Marathon-branded operators, direct dealer locations, and other buyers in the U.S. and abroad. The Midstream business handles the gathering, transportation, storage, distribution, and marketing of crude oil, refined products, natural gas, and natural gas liquids through pipelines, terminals, towboats, and barges. The Renewable Diesel segment processes renewable feedstocks into renewable diesel for sale through wholesale channels and long-term supply contracts. Marathon Petroleum was founded in 1887 and is headquartered in Findlay, Ohio.
